CMP Match
Sight-in at 8:00 AM—Match at 9:00 AM
For questions or info call Devin @ 660-2742.
The CMP shoot is a fun and enjoyable way to get some shooting experience or practice for competition. We normally shoot on the second Sunday of the month and would enjoy having you come out and shoot with us. You will need a military type rifle(AR-15, M1 Garand, M1-A1, ’03 Springfield) with iron sights. No scopes or Red Dots. You will also need about 60 rounds of ammo (10 or more to sight in and 50 for the match.) We start sight in at 8:00am and begin shooting at 9:00 am. We shoot four stages from 3 position at 200 yards, with reduced targets simulating 300 & 600 yards.
Shooting the match entitles you to a CMP certificate so you can order rifles and ammunition from the CMP. So come on out and join us.

Cowboy Action Shooting is a multi-faceted shooting sport in which shooters must test their mettle against steel targets. Shooters compete with firearms typical of those used in the Old West: a brace of single action revolvers, a pistol caliber lever gun and a pre-1900 shotgun. A shoot consists of a series of stages in which the shooters are timed and target misses tallied so that shooters must balance speed with accuracy. A fun and unique aspect of the sport is the costuming and the adoption of a shooting alias appropriate to a character of the late 19th century. It is truly a family oriented sport that has appeal to all ages. If you want to give it a try or just see what it is all about, come on out and join us at the informal range. You’re guaranteed to have fun!
